The Solar Eclipse

Thinking about the solar eclipse today. My memory work is Psalm 40 this year, and verse 5 seems so appropriate.

"Many, O LORD, my God, are the wonders which you have done, and your thoughts toward us. There is none to compare with You."

And thinking about the darkness coming this afternoon, I remembered verses in Psalm 139 that I memorized years ago:

"If I say surely the darkness will hide me, and the light become night around me, even the darkness will not be dark to You...for darkness is as light to You. For you created my inmost being...."

Verses like these mean so much. Keeps my mind sound and my heart and soul aware of the great love and compassion God has for us.

We are always in God's thoughts, and we're never out of His sight--or His reach.

Summer Tanagers

God graciously brought summer tanagers to my backyard as He has done for the past few years during April. These little birds are so beautiful and fun to watch. Reminds me of the verse that says, "Your works are wonderful; I know that full well." (Psalm 139) You can view my videos of the summer tanagers on my youtube channel. See below photos for link.
